Indiana Preps | The Net Effect — Volleyball Team of the Week
Charlestown is putting together one of southern Indiana’s more impressive late-season runs.
The Pirates capped their final regular-season weekend with four victories on October 10, sweeping New Washington, Switzerland County, Clarksville and South Ripley without dropping a set. The performance extended their winning streak to 13 consecutive matches and improved the program to 24-7 overall.
Saturday was particularly convincing. Charlestown won all eight sets across four matches, handling a demanding tournament-day schedule without allowing an opponent to force a deciding set.
But the bigger story is the consistency the Pirates have built over the closing weeks of the regular season.
Winning 13 straight requires more than one strong afternoon. It reflects a team that has found a rhythm at the right time — stringing together results while preparing for the most important portion of its schedule. For a program competing outside the state’s traditional volleyball spotlight, Charlestown has built a compelling postseason storyline.
The Pirates enter sectional play with confidence, momentum and an opportunity to turn their regular-season finish into a deeper tournament run.
For four sweeps in a single day and a 13-match winning streak to close the regular season, Indiana Preps names Charlestown the Volleyball Team of the Week, powered by Identity Kept Services.
