Lapel keeps stacking wins, and the Bulldogs put together another perfect week to remain unbeaten.

The Class 2A Bulldogs went 5-0 during the September 7–12 period, pushing their season record to 19-0 and earning recognition as the Indiana Preps Girls Volleyball Team of the Week.

Lapel opened the week with a 3-0 sweep of Shenandoah on September 8 before adding another straight-set victory over Madison-Grant on September 10.

The Bulldogs then carried their unbeaten run into the Lapel Invitational on Saturday, where they went 3-0. Lapel defeated Alexandria-Monroe before taking down Frankton and Fort Wayne Bishop Luers in three-set matches.

The Bishop Luers victory provided a strong finish to the week. After splitting the first two sets, Lapel responded in the deciding set to complete an unbeaten Saturday and keep its perfect season intact.

Five matches. Five wins. And through 19 matches this season, nobody has found a way to hand Lapel a loss.

The Bulldogs have moved beyond simply being a good start to the season. At 19-0, the Class 2A program has built one of the state’s more impressive résumés and is giving Indiana volleyball another small-school program worth paying attention to.

Lapel is the Indiana Preps Girls Volleyball Team of the Week for September 7–12.
