Week seven of the Indiana high school football season featured arguably some of the best single-game performances of the year. The nomination total reached 14 for the Indiana Minority Coaches Association Player of the Week award. After nearly 10,000 votes, it was a close battle by the top 3 vote getters in Lawrence Central linebacker Tylen Cunningham, Columbus North quarterback Luke Hammons and Madison wide receiver Colin Yancey.
It was the dominating defensive performance by Tylen Cunningham and his game high 18-tackles that helped lead the Bears to a 35-14 win over Indianapolis North Central. He added 1.5-tackles for loss, a half sack and a defensive touchdown to his stat stuffing performance.
