On film, linebacker Tommy Richardson exudes confidence in his ability to make plays. There’s a reason for that. It’s because the 2017 linebacker is in his third year as a starter for a Bloomington South defense that is tops in the state. The South Panthers are undefeated, ranked third in class 5A. Thanks in part to a defense that has only given up more than 7 points in a game, twice. After a stellar sophomore campaign, Richardson has set the bar for other linebackers in his class. He stands 6’2 with great size and possesses athleticism. Case and point, he often lines up on offense and gives the Panthers another weapon.
