Former Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter football player Kyree Hollis is a freshman at University of Alabama-Birmingham, where recently the university President announced that the football program will be terminated. Hollis is a redshirt wide receiver and defensive back on the Blazers football team. The NCAA granted the UAB football players immediate eligibility to transfer and play at another college football program. Several schools have reached out to Hollis, including hometown schools like Ball State, Indiana and Indiana State. Being that he was a redshirt freshman, Hollis will have 4 years to complete his football eligibility. Kyree tells us he’d like to come back and play close to home, but he’s open to any program that will give him an opportunity to play.

Kyree Hollis salutes after a big play in the 2A State Championship game.
