Columbus East running back Markell Jones committed to Purdue on Tuesday.
Jones favored the Boilermakers for most of his recruitment. Purdue Head Coach Darrell Hazell made it clear very early that Jones was a priority on their big board. On top of that, the university offers an Aviation program that Jones is interested in pursuing, being that his father is a pilot.
Jones is ranked no.17 in our INPrep Top50 Rankings representing class of 2015. Arguably the top running back in the state.
Jones led his team to an undefeated season and state championship as a junior, amassing 2,652 yards and 42 touchdowns.
