It came as a surprise to many when Andrean high school Linebacker Josh Barajas committed to Penn State back in March. Being that when Notre Dame offered Barajas, he openly expressed his excitement about the Irish and named them as the front runner. The INPrep50 Linebacker seemed to be very excited about joining “LBU” and went to social media often to post about Penn State Head Coach James Franklin. However, it seems that Irish Head Coach Brian Kelly and staff stayed committed to recruiting Barajas despite the commitment to the Nittany Lions. It worked! Barajas flipped his commitment to Notre Dame today.
We think he went with his gut in this decision. He loved Notre Dame from the beginning and now he’s committed to the Fighting Irish.
