A year ago, Rebekah Linn arrived at the inaugural Indiana Preps Volleyball Winter Showcase as a freshman still early in her development.

She left behind a measurable starting point.

A 21-inch block jump. A 26.5-inch approach jump. One year later, the numbers that matter most are showing up on the varsity court.

The 6-foot sophomore middle hitter has emerged as one of Greenwood Community’s most important players this fall, leading the Woodmen in kills per set, hitting percentage and total blocks through September 21. MaxPreps lists Linn at 2.0 kills per set, a .313 hitting percentage and 47 total blocks. She is a Class of 2029 prospect and Greenwood’s starting middle hitter.

That progression is exactly what the showcase was built to help identify.

The testing numbers gave Indiana Preps an early look at Linn’s explosiveness around the net. The 2026 season is showing what happens when that physical profile starts translating into match production.

She has already delivered several moments that stand out.

Against Monrovia on September 8, Linn produced 14 kills, nine solo blocks and seven aces in a Greenwood victory — her best statistical match of the season and an example of the all-around impact she is beginning to create from the middle.

The larger trend matters more than any single match.

Middle hitters are evaluated through more than raw kill totals. Timing, lateral movement, blocking instincts, transition speed and efficiency all matter. Linn’s .313 hitting percentage and team-leading block production suggest she is beginning to influence matches in the areas the position demands most.

And she is doing it as a sophomore.

That is the part worth watching.

The player who tested at the Indiana Preps Winter Showcase in 2025 is no longer simply a young prospect with measurable upside. She is becoming a varsity producer. For Linn, there is still plenty of development ahead — which is what makes the next stage interesting.

For Indiana Preps, her progression is a reminder of what the showcase platform is meant to create: an early evaluation point, followed by a chance to track what happens next.

The next Indiana Preps Volleyball Winter Showcase returns December 5, 2026, at Circle K Fieldhouse in Columbus, Indiana — college coaches, evaluation, competition and verified testing.

Linn came through the inaugural event as a freshman.

One year later, the growth is showing up where it matters.
