Indiana Preps Girls Flag Football Preseason Power Rankings

Indiana Preps releases its inaugural Girls Flag Football Preseason Power Rankings for the 2026 season — and the top 15 reflects the depth of a sport that now spans 108 schools across the state heading into its most anticipated fall yet. Penn opens at No. 1 as the defending state champion, the program that set the standard last season and enters 2026 with a target on its back. Lawrence North checks in at No. 2 as the reigning state runner-up — a program with unfinished business and the talent to make a championship run of its own. New Prairie at No. 3, Snider at No. 4, and Warren Central at No. 5 round out a top five that spans the state geographically and represents programs that have been building rosters all summer. Ben Davis at No. 6 brings some of the most recognizable names in Indiana’s growing flag football ecosystem. The rankings extend from Terre Haute South at No. 7 and Terre Haute North at No. 13, to South Bend St. Joseph at No. 8, East Noble at No. 10, Munster at No. 11, Indianapolis North Central at No. 12, and Elkhart at No. 14 — a true statewide representation of how far the sport has traveled since the Colts launched the Road to 100 campaign. Valparaiso and Pike are tied at No. 15, sharing the final spot in the inaugural rankings. With every team entering the season at 0-0 and the IHSAA sanctioning vote potentially coming as early as May 2027, every game this fall carries the weight of a sport still writing its history.
