The Hamilton Heights Huskies are one step closer to the Class 3A state finals after a dominant three-set victory over Norwell in regional action. Behind standout performances from Macie Smith, Addie Doak, and Liv Schiffli, the Huskies continued their postseason surge with balanced play across all phases.
West Virginia commit Macie Smith once again proved why she’s one of the top hitters in the state, finishing with 22 kills on a .263 hitting percentage, adding 7 digs, 2 blocks, and a 2.27 serve rating with 2 aces.
Marshall commit and libero Addie Doak anchored the defense with precision, posting a 2.13 serve receive rating, 14 digs, and even chipped in 9 assists from the back row.
Liv Schiffli provided consistency at the net and behind the line, recording 10 kills on a .286 hitting percentage, 4 digs, and 1 ace while boasting a 2.50 serve receive rating.
With the regional title in hand, Hamilton Heights (now advancing to the semi-state) will face a formidable Bishop Dwenger (17-8) team led by Nicolette Watercutter, Braelynn Hodgman, and Lindsey Snyder at Huntington North High School.
The Huskies are hitting their stride at the right time — and their sights are set firmly on the 3A State Finals.
