The 6A 7th ranked team heads to the west side to take on fellow HCC member Zionsville tommorow night.

When: 7:00 PM – 9/26

Where: Zionsville High School – Indy

Tale of the tape, HSE: The Royals come into the matchup on a 2-game losing streak, dropping to Fishers by 8 and the Westfield Shamrocks by 4. 4 out of the 5 games that the Royals have played have been decided by one possession or less. Last week against the Shamrocks, freshman QB Deaken Johnson went for 4/7 for 61 yards on the night. Carter Reed led the charge on the ground with 116 yards on 24 carries for a touchdown. The rest of the team added another 50 to the ground attack. The defense played an effective game, forcing 4 turnovers, including a 97-yard scoop and score. The D also had 3.5 sacks on the evening. However, they just couldn’t keep up with the Shamrock attack as they surrendered nearly 500 yards on the night.

Tale of the tape Zionsville: The Eagles come into Friday with a 2-3 record fresh off a 31-7 win vs Noblesville last week. That win snapped a 3 game skid for the squad. Last week vs the Millers QB Eli Showalter went for 167 through the air as well as a TD and an INT. Only 69 yards and a touchdown as a team on the ground last week. A subpar offense performance was backed by stellar play from the defense and special teams units, with a pick 6 and a 97 kick return TD. Noblesville was held to 159 yards of total offense with three interceptions.
