Three weeks in and the Indiana Preps Power 25 is starting to separate the pretenders from the contenders. The top of the rankings remains unchanged — but the middle of the board shifted significantly after a week that produced some of the season’s most meaningful results.

Brownsburg, Warren Central, and Westfield hold the top three spots unchanged at 3-0. The Bulldogs remain the unanimous standard. Warren Central’s 3-0 start — built on back-to-back road wins against Center Grove and Elkhart before this week’s result — has legitimized what the preseason suggested. Westfield’s resilience in the 38-34 win over Carmel moved them from hype to credibility.

The most dramatic movement in the top ten belongs to Avon. The Orioles jump from No. 12 to No. 6 on the strength of a 3-0 start that includes a win over ranked Ben Davis. A team that had consecutive losing seasons is now one of the six best programs in Indiana through three weeks. Carmel drops from No. 4 to No. 9 after falling to 1-2 — a significant tumble for a program with championship aspirations that has to correct course quickly.

New Palestine slides from No. 7 to No. 13 following their first loss of the season — a 14-6 home defeat to East Central that ended a 29-game winning streak. East Central climbs to No. 12 off that win. Bishop Chatard and Bishop Dwenger both crack the top 15 at No. 10 and No. 14 respectively — each undefeated, each making a statement that the 4A classification conversation is more crowded than it looked in August.

Floyd Central and Warsaw are the week’s new entries, both checking in undefeated. Floyd Central debuts at No. 20. Warsaw enters at No. 21. Both programs have been consistent performers without receiving the statewide attention their records deserve.

Three programs drop out entirely. Franklin Central falls from No. 13 after a 1-2 start that includes consecutive losses. Hamilton Southeastern exits at 1-1. Yorktown — despite a 2-1 record — drops out but remains in the “In Consideration” group alongside Evansville Memorial, Hobart, and South Bend St. Joseph.
