Going into July 18th, 2025, Jerquaden Guilford’s choices for college were down to Ole Miss and Ohio State. The 4-star Northrop Bruins wide receiver verbally committed to the Buckeyes on Friday in front of friends and family at the Traction AP facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
While speaking with Guilford after his announcement was made, he made it known that it was a decision that was easy due to Ohio State’s proven track record for producing quality wideouts. “Being a wide receiver, the stats speak for itself. Coach Hartline and Coach Day proves their point and I want to be a part of that,” responded Guilford.
At 6’2, 190, Guilford goes into his senior season with a tremendous amount of size, but is still working on sharpening some things as he preps for his last season at Northrop. “I’m working on being more explosive. I’m already explosive, but it’s all about keep being explosive and being consistent,” said Guilford.
Last season as a junior, Guilford had a huge season for the Bruins. He finished the season with 35 receptions for 556 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also averaged 15.9 yards per catch. He is Indiana’s top prospect for the 2026 recruiting class.
Now that a huge weight is taken off his shoulders as he enters his senior season, Guilford is focused on improving and having a more successful season as a team at Northrop.
