The Harrison High School softball team in West Lafayette, Indiana, welcomes a significant addition to their roster this season: Bradi Odom, a versatile 5’10” pitcher and third baseman. Odom’s journey to the Raiders is marked by a diverse and accomplished background in softball, spanning multiple states and competitive environments.

Early Career in Oklahoma and Nevada

Odom’s softball journey began in Oklahoma, where she showcased exceptional talent on the mound. During her tenure with the Ada Cougars, she achieved a remarkable 1.94 earned run average (ERA), a performance that ranked her 80th nationally, 9th in Oklahoma, and 3rd in Class 4A.

Following her success in Oklahoma, Odom relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she continued to excel at Palo Verde High School. In her junior year (2023-2024 season), she maintained a 2.20 ERA with 12 wins over 117.2 innings pitched, accumulating 106 strikeouts. Offensively, she posted a .333 batting average, with 10 hits, including 3 home runs, and 11 RBIs. Odom has already racked up 419 career strikeouts and established herself as a force in the circle.

Transition to Harrison High School

In 2025, Odom joined the Harrison Raiders, bringing her formidable skills to Indiana’s competitive softball scene. Her addition is timely, as the Raiders aim to build upon their 19-5 record from the previous season. Despite graduating key players such as Chelsea Parker (DePaul), Ava Mobley (Bradley), Whitney Duell (Trine), and pitcher Rylan Gick (Purdue Northwest), the team retains a strong core, including seniors Hannah Voll (outfielder), Alex Waitkoff (first baseman), and juniors Ashley Dunk (shortstop) and Della Bossung (pitcher/third baseman).

Odom’s presence is expected to bolster both the pitching rotation and infield defense. Her experience and leadership qualities are anticipated to make an immediate impact, complementing the existing talent and contributing to the team’s pursuit of excellence in the 2025 season.

Commitment to East Central University

Looking ahead, Odom has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at East Central University (ECU) in Ada, Oklahoma. This commitment reflects her dedication to the sport and her desire to compete at the collegiate level.

Conclusion

As the Harrison Raiders embark on the 2025 season, the integration of a player with Odom’s caliber and experience is a promising development. Her journey through various competitive landscapes has prepared her to be a pivotal contributor to the team’s success. Fans and teammates alike eagerly anticipate the impact she will make both on and off the field.
