In a tightly contested vote for week two player of the week, Lawrence Central Bears quarterback Bryson Luter edged Columbus North’s Garrett Long with 32 percent of the vote. Luter and the Bears might have ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard in the overtime 59-58 loss to Westfield, but not without the gritty performance by the senior quarterback. Luter torched the defense with 386 yards passing and added 4 touchdowns through the air while rushing for another 101 yards on the ground.
