The Brownsburg Bulldogs make the cut for the second week in a row, hosting two of the state’s top teams in a matter of weeks. The Bulldogs handled the visiting Cathedral Irish in convincing fashion last Friday in their 45-31 win. Next up for the 2-0 Dogs are the Franklin Central Flashes, who are coming off an impressive 20-6 win over Roncalli. The Flashes have posted their 2-0 start since 2019 and just one win shy of matching last season’s total. Both squads enter tonight’s contest with high expectations, and the winner will have a leg up in the ultra-competitive Hoosier Crossroads Conference.

Senior quarterback Jake Dunn was off the charts last Friday leading the Bulldogs in their win. The gunslinger went 11 for 15, 258 yards and 3 touchdowns through the air and added 62 yards and a touchdown on the ground. The Bulldogs’ offense might be one of the most complete units with running back Garrett Sherrell, and wide receivers Cayden Olinger and Minnesota commit Corey Smith. Tonight will be his biggest test yet, with Purdue commit Hudauri Hines and Ball State recruit Lauron Johnson patrolling the secondary. Flashes junior quarterback Nevan Tutterow is a leathal weapon in his own right. Jayon Harvey will be one of the most dynamic players on the field with the ball in his hands.

Prediction: Brownsburg 28 Franklin Central 14
