This week’s Indiana Minority Coaches Association Fan’s Choice Player of the Week voting featured many standout performances across the state. A few players are consistently nominated for their play. This week eight players were selected and voted for.
With 42.3% of the vote, our week two Fan’s Choice is Eli Cooper, senior quarterback at New Castle high school. Cooper was on fire last Friday as the Trojans defeated Rushville 48-7. The gunslinger completed 11 of his 17 attempts, tallying 225-yards and 5-touchdowns through the air. Cooper added nearly 50-yards rushing to his offensive performance.
Mooresville high junior quarterback Nicholas Patterson came in second with 22.8% of the votes. Patterson completed 19 of his 23 attempts, going for 298-yards and 5-touchdowns. He added another score rushing the ball in a dominating win over top ranked 3A Danville, 55-21.
