RAIDERS WIN THE BATTLE OF THE NORTHS BY 22 POINTS AS HISTORIC SEASON CONTINUES!
The Northridge Raiders are sectional champions once again!
In a battle of the Norths, Northridge delivered a dominant fourth-quarter performance to pull away for a 22-point victory and capture its first sectional championship in four years!
The victory marks another historic milestone for the Raiders, as their winningest season in program history continues to roll on.
Northridge entered the fourth quarter holding an eight-point advantage, but the Raiders weren’t finished. Kane Yeater came up with a huge score to extend the lead from eight to 15, giving Northridge some breathing room as the game entered its final minutes.
Then came the finishing blow.
Jake Scholl put the game away with his fourth combined touchdown of the night, capping off another outstanding performance and helping secure the Raiders’ sectional championship.
The Raiders’ ability to take control in the fourth quarter proved to be the difference in the Battle of the Norths, as Northridge finished strong and punched its ticket to the next round.
But this historic season is far from over!
UP NEXT: Northridge will return home next week to host Hobart, a perennial powerhouse from the Region, with a chance to continue its remarkable postseason run.
