Indiana Preps is proud to announce the 2026 All-Indiana Girls Flag Football Underclassmen Team — 25 selections representing the next generation of a sport that just cleared 108 schools statewide and is tracking toward full IHSAA sanctioning. This group was built on production, versatility, and the kind of competitive presence that makes a difference regardless of the stage. Several names on this list have been on Indiana Preps’ radar all season — Mia Cortes of Fort Wayne Carroll, who we profiled in the First Flag series for her journey from tackle football to one of the most gritty competitors in the state. LeeAnn Petty of Warren Central, who landed on our All-State team last season and picked up right where she left off. Gloria Baguma of Ben Davis, another First Flag feature subject who brought route running, hands, and length to every event she competed in. And Maya Jackson of Fort Wayne Snider, who earned overall camp MVP honors at the Indiana Preps College Day Camp earlier this summer with her two-way dominance at receiver and defensive back.
The full 25-player roster spans the state from South Bend St. Joseph and Elkhart in the north to Floyd Central in the south, with Lawrence North, Warren Central, Penn, Beech Grove, North Vigo, East Noble, Ben Davis, and Purdue Poly representing the middle of the state. Beech Grove places three players — Harmony Burks, Amiyah Dunn, and Aniyah Nevers — a reflection of a program building real identity in the sport. North Vigo matches that with four selections in Alycia Bray-Wilson, Ruthee Lubbehusen, Kendelle Barnett, and Salidat Orozalieva. Every player on this team has at minimum one more high school season ahead of her. For a sport writing its history in real time, that is exactly the kind of foundation the next chapter is built on.
