Quarterback of the Future: Ethan Latta | Class of 2030
In the world of youth football, few names are starting to carry as much buzz in the Class of 2030 as Ethan Latta, a poised and promising quarterback from Fall Creek Junior High, who is set to attend Hamilton Southeastern High School. Standing at 5’4″ and weighing 120 pounds, Latta may not be the biggest on the field—yet—but his talent and leadership are already making a major impact.
Currently leading Team Indiana North 8th Grade, Latta has continued to build on an impressive 7th-grade campaign that caught the attention of coaches and evaluators across the state.

“I had the privilege of coaching Ethan for his 7th-grade campaign, and from day one he had the it factor,” said Coach Dabner, who leads the 7th/8th grade program at Fall Creek Junior High. “His grasp of the offense and understanding of what I wanted to accomplish helped the team get on track very quickly after summer conditioning.”
Latta’s ability to process the game and lead his teammates stood out just as much as his arm talent. Known for staying composed under pressure, he has a knack for making plays on the move and finding receivers even when plays break down.
“When Ethan is rolling to the right or to the left, he is just dangerous,” added Dabner. “He has the ability to improvise and throw his receivers open. Ethan has everything you want in a QB.”
While still developing physically, Latta’s high football IQ, accuracy, and competitive drive already project him as one of the top young quarterbacks in Indiana’s 2030 class. As he prepares for his 8th-grade season, expectations are sky-high—and for good reason.
“Once his body catches up with his ability, he will be a problem for the Class of 2030,” said Dabner. “This young man has a bright future!”
With a strong foundation, a championship mindset, and the intangibles you can’t teach, Ethan Latta is a name Indiana high school football fans will want to remember.
Stay tuned as Indiana Preps continues to track his journey through middle school, high school, and beyond.
