Roncalli High School senior Logan Bell has been recognized as the 2024 Gatorade Indiana Volleyball Player of the Year, joining the elite ranks of the nation’s top high school athletes. This prestigious honor celebrates her exceptional achievements on the court, in the classroom, and within her community.

Bell’s senior season was nothing short of dominant. She recorded 333 kills, 252 digs, 63 aces, 50 assists, and 26 blocks, leading the Royals to a state championship. Beyond her athletic prowess, Bell has been a standout off the court. She volunteers with Servant’s Heart of Indy, a nonprofit food pantry, and teaches children with disabilities to ride conventional bicycles through the iCan Bike program. She also serves as a volunteer youth volleyball coach, all while maintaining an impressive 3.98 GPA.

This recognition marks Bell as the second Roncalli volleyball player to receive the Gatorade Indiana Volleyball Player of the Year award, following 2007 graduate Paige Weber.

Roncalli athletic director David Lauck (Class of 1994) praised Bell’s contributions to the school’s volleyball program. “Logan had an outstanding high school career. She was an integral part of the volleyball program all four years and experienced some great seasons with the Royals, as well as some challenging ones. How exciting that she capped off her senior year as a state champion and is now the best player in Indiana!”

Head volleyball coach Christina Erazmus (Class of 2001) also expressed her admiration for Bell’s dedication and leadership. “It has been a true pleasure watching Logan grow these past four years. While she has been blessed with God-given talent, Logan developed into an elite volleyball athlete through her dedication in and out of the gym, staying composed with a winner’s mindset, and always being the best teammate and player she can be. Coaching a kid like Logan is a dream. She brings so much to the table and leads by example. I am proud of her accomplishments and appreciate the memories and lasting impression she has left with the Roncalli volleyball program.”

Bell, who credits her faith for her success, expressed her gratitude for the honor. “I am truly humbled by this incredible honor. All glory goes to God! He has blessed me with more than I could imagine, and I owe it all to Him.”

Logan Bell is the eldest daughter of Jessica and Kory Bell, and the family are active members of St. Jude Catholic Church. Next fall, she will continue her academic and volleyball journey at the University of Oregon, where she looks forward to building on her already remarkable legacy.
