In an early showcase of talent, two young prospects from the class of 2027 are making their presence felt on the field.
Davion Jones, a 5’11” 170-pound wide receiver from Greenwood High, put on a show with three touchdowns. Known for his electric playmaking ability, Jones displayed his shiftiness and made a highlight-reel catch in the corner of the endzone, outleaping an outstretched defender.
On the defensive side, Davonte Degraffenreid, a 6’2″ 180-pound defensive back from Columbus North, proved to be a lockdown force. When tested, Degraffenreid was unshakable, recording multiple pass breakups and contributing on several tackles.
Both Jones and Degraffenreid are emerging as prospects to watch as they continue to develop in their starting roles. Keep an eye on these names as they look to make a significant impact this season and beyond.
