Two weeks of the regular season are complete, and teams are now gearing up for Week 3 of the 2021 Indiana High School Football season.  This week’s SWIN Game Of The Week will take us to Jasper for a matchup of 2-0 SIAC squads, as the Reitz Panthers travel to play the Jasper Wildcats.

The Panthers have opened with victories over Harrison and Vincennes Lincoln.  Reitz’s balanced offensive attack (220 Passing Yards / Gm., 172.5 Rushing Yards / Gm.) is led by Sr. QB Nate Stanley (364 Passing Yards, 3 TD Passes).  The Panthers’ rushing attack features two Running Backs, those being Sr. Jay Smith (7.2 Yards/Carry, 4 Rushing TD’s) and Jr. Jonas Burnett (5.8 Yards/Carry, 1 TD).  Sr. WR Alex Clark (166 Rec. Yards, 2 Rec. TD’s) is a key contributor to the Reitz offense, as well.  Defensively, Jr. LB Dylan Martin enters as the leading tackler for the Panthers. 

The host Wildcats enter Week 3 having earned victories over Memorial and Harrison to open the 2021 campaign.  Sr. QB Will Weinzapfel will look to Sr. TE Connor Foley to spark the Jasper passing game.  The ‘Cats also feature multiple threats in the backfield, and a potent combination of speed and power, in Sr. FB Isaac Day and Sr. FB Ashton Schuetter.   

Day, at FS, and Schuetter, at MLB, also serve as key members of the Jasper Defense, which enters having allowed just under 16 points per game thus far.
