A couple of Power Five offers highlight Popeye Williams’ last couple of days after stellar performance at the Midwest Exposure Skill Camp last Saturday. Penn State extended an offer on Tuesday, and Kentucky followed suit on Wednesday. Williams a class of 2022, 6’3 230-pound rush end shared with us at the camp, that he felt good about those two programs extending an offer soon. He also mentioned that Indiana and Purdue have remained in communication.

Indiana Preps has seen Williams a number of times this off-season. He earned overall MVP at the Indiana Winter Showcase, that featured 325 participants. He followed that performance up with another solid outing at the Best of the Midwest Combine. Williams has spent his off-season adding muscle and training with former NFL defensive end Robert Mathis. The work being put in is bearing fruit, is mechanics continue to improve each time we see him. His frame looks college ready. To go along with his natural twitch and athleticism, Williams is the overall package for the defensive end position.
