Quarterback Mikey Kidwell led class 3A ranked West Lafayette to a dominating victory over then ranked, Tri-West in week one. Kidwell who is listed at 5’10, 170 pounds, put on a show that fans and upcoming opponents will soon not forget. The senior quarterback torched the Bruins defense with 7 touchdowns through the air, amassing nearly 500 yards passing while completing 31 of his 54 pass attempts. He added another 70 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. This electrifying performance by Kidwell led the Red Devils to a statement win over the Bruins, dealing the 3A contenders a 55-27 lost.

Kidwell is receiving interest from several Division 2 programs and the Purdue Boilermakers have stayed in touch. The Red Devils are looking for a return to trip to Lucas Oil in November and with Kidwell leading the way, the probability is pretty good.
