Center Grove All American defensive lineman Jovan Swann made his commitment to Stanford, a team who finished in the top 10 of the final college football ranking. On the field, the 6’3 260 pound lineman is all business. Rarely do you see him get animated after a big play. He’s definitely a no nonsense type of guy. When it came to picking a school, it was all business when it came to his decision. Swann stated that ultimately it was the academics that were the deciding factor.

Although, he says he’s known for quite sometime that Stanford was the school for him. He was still blown away by his official visit. “The program itself pulled me because of the connection I have with the staff this far. They shown that they mean business and have my best interest in mind in regards to my future. The University and professors exceeded my expectations on the official visit and they want all students and athletes to reach success” said Swann.

Academics aside, the football program being one of the best in the nation was a draw for the INPrep50 defensive lineman. Swann has maintained a relationship with the staff throughout the process and has gained a great deal of respect for Coach David Shaw and his staff. “I would say our connections respectively are as I expect myself to be with them this time in the process. The relationships will only grow stronger over the next few years” said Swann.
