Indiana was well represented at this year’s Semper Fi All American Bowl, with INPrep50 linebacker Noah Burks and defensive lineman Jovan Swann representing the West squad. The East squad won the contest, but Burks and Swann made their presence felt.

As with most of the All American games, the player’s experience and what the game represents is more important than the scoreboard. Wisconsin bound linebacker Noah Burks considered the game an honor to play in. “It was a huge honor, I had a blast meeting all the guys and competing against top talent” said Burks. ” I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything or the relationships I built with the coaches, marines, and fellow players.” Four star defensive lineman Jovan Swann also enjoyed his visit to California, a potential landing spot as Stanford is one of his leaders. “It was a great honor to be selected for the Semper Fi All-American bowl and to get the chance to play with some of the best football players in the nation” said Swann. “It was a great week spent in Los Angeles with many events to attend and time spent with players from both teams. The best part of the whole experience was getting drill sergeants to take us through a small part of drills and training it takes in being part of the Marine Corps.”

When it came to the game, Burks and Swann proved they belong with the best in the country. Swann was given the honor of being a captain for the West squad. Badger recruit linebacker Noah Burks had a big interception and was in on several tackles for the West squad.

“It is definitely and opportunity you would not want to pass up if you are presented a chance and thanks to the Marines for making it possible” said Swann.
