Today the Indiana Hoosiers offered two 2016 wide receivers, including instate talent Austin Mack (6-1, 200-pounds) of Ft.Wayne Bishop Luers.

“I was so geeked when Kevin Wilson (Indiana head coach) told me, ‘we are offering you today”, said Mack. “I was like wait, so I have an offer?”

“I was so surprised and speechless, and knowing that it’s in the Big 10 just makes it even better being in a big conference,” he added. “IU probably has the best wide receiving core in the Big 10!”

Mack plays for AWP Sports, and travel 7-on-7 team based out of Fort Wayne, and preps at Indiana powerhouse Bishop Luers. Fellow class of 2016 teammate, quarterback Noah Wezensky also holds an early offer, and has BCS potential.

“He’s my bestfriend,” Mack said. “Our chemistry is great, and we train everyday throwing, and running routes. We hang out all the time, and we are practically brothers.”

Mack hinted to him and Wezenksy possibly playing together at the next level, but insisted that they wouldn’t pressure each other into doing it.

Several other BCS schools have shown interest in Mack, including Tennessee, Michigan, Michigan State, Louisville, Florida State, Cincinnati and Notre Dame. His play on the camp circuit with AWP Sports has also helped his cause.

“My performances have been really good, and on point,” said Mack. “I have the Sound Mind Sound Body camp this weekend, which will be big as well!”

“I want to attend Michigan, Michigan State, and Tennessee camps,” he said . “But I will be back to IU for a visit and to watch a game within the next season.”

As a freshman at Bishop Luers last year, Mack played both ways, and recorded 11 interceptions, and 25 total touchdowns on both freshman and varsity.

In a few years, he could join Notre Dame 2013 linebacker commit Jaylin Smith as the next five-star prospect to come out of Bishop Luers.
