Many Indiana high school football fans would not be able point out QB Matt Hunt in a lineup of top signal callers in the state. Or realize that he is just as responsible for the records being set by WR Anthony Warrum of Heritage Christian. The 2013 QB isn’t a boastful person, but his numbers are speaking very loudly. Hunt is on pace to throw for more than 8,000 yards and rush for over 1,500 yards in his career as the quarterback for the Heritage Chrisitan Eagles. Not to mention he will top 125 total touchdowns when it’s all said and done. Matt Hunt is the most underrated quarterback in the state. His 5’11 180lb frame keeps BCS coaches at a distance, but some lucky program is going to get a pure passer. With visits to PENN this summer & a scheduled visit to University of Indianapolis this weekend, I’m more than positive Hunt will get his shot to play collegiate football.
This past Friday night, QB Matt Hunt lit up the Shenandoah defense for 7 passing touchdowns & 362 yards in the air. Wide Receivers Ames Walker & Anthony Warrum were on the receiving end of those touchdowns. Hunt lead the Eagles to a 51-20 victory.
