Seven weeks in and the top of the board has not moved. The bottom half has. Three undefeated programs enter the top 25 for the first time, two teams make significant climbs after strong recent stretches, and Zionsville shares No. 25 with Evansville Memorial rather than falling out. Here is where Indiana football stands entering the final two weeks of the regular season.

1. Brownsburg | 7-0 | Unchanged

The Bulldogs beat Zionsville 38-3 to extend the winning streak to 27 games. Brownsburg has outscored its last three opponents by a combined margin that reflects a program operating at a different level than everyone else in Indiana. The gap between No. 1 and No. 2 is as wide as it has been all season.

2. Warren Central | 7-0 | Unchanged

Keyon Thomas scored six rushing touchdowns in the 53-37 win over Lawrence North — one of the most dominant individual performances of the season by any player in any classification. The Warriors have beaten Center Grove, Pike and Lawrence North. No. 2 is no longer a projection. It is a résumé.

3. Westfield | 6-1 | Unchanged

The Shamrocks’ only loss remains the 38-14 result against Brownsburg in Week 6. Everything before and after has been Westfield at its best. They remain the most complete team in Indiana behind the top two.

4. Center Grove | 6-1 | Unchanged

Center Grove beat Pike 49-14 last week and has now won five straight since the Week 2 loss to Warren Central. The Trojans have the offensive firepower to make a postseason run regardless of classification.

5. Lawrence North | 5-2 | Unchanged

The 53-37 loss to Warren Central drops Lawrence North to 5-2 but the Wildcats scored 37 points in the first half against the No. 2 team in Indiana. That ceiling still matters heading into October.

6. Crown Point | 7-0 | Unchanged

Crown Point beat LaPorte 42-6 last week and remains one of six undefeated programs in the Power 25. The Bulldogs are quiet, consistent and well-positioned for a deep October run.

7. Penn | 7-0 | Unchanged

Penn beat Elkhart 44-0 — their second shutout in recent weeks. The Kingsmen are outscoring opponents by enormous margins and no program north of Indianapolis has been more dominant through seven weeks.

8. Carroll (Fort Wayne) | 6-1 | Unchanged

The Chargers beat Homestead 45-14 last week and hold steady at No. 8. Carroll is 7th overall in Sagarin’s ratings at 92.64 — the strongest Sagarin rating outside the top-six Power 25 teams.

9. Bloomington South | 6-1 | Unchanged

Bloomington South lost to Ironton (Ohio) 37-0 in an out-of-state non-conference game — their only loss of the season. The Panthers remain No. 1 in Class 5A by Sagarin at 85.05 overall. The out-of-state result does not change their in-state evaluation.

10. Cathedral | 4-3 | Up from 13

Cathedral beat Indianapolis Attucks 43-6 last week and has won three straight after a difficult start. The Fighting Irish — who play in Class 5A — beat Cincinnati St. Xavier and Bishop Chatard during their current run. Sagarin rates them 36th overall in Indiana. A 4-3 record with three consecutive quality wins earns the move into the top ten.

11. East Central | 6-1 | Down from 10

East Central beat Connersville 70-27 — the Trojans’ most lopsided margin of the season. Sagarin rates them 11th overall in Indiana and 2nd in Class 4A. The slight drop reflects movement around them more than anything they have done wrong.

12. Bishop Dwenger | 6-1 | Up from 14

The defending 4A state champion beat Bishop Luers 34-6 and has now won five straight. Sagarin rates Dwenger 30th overall and 9th in Class 4A. No program in Indiana is trusted more to perform in October.

13. Bishop Chatard | 6-1 | Up from 15

Chatard has been one of the more dominant programs in Class 4A through seven weeks with multiple shutouts and a current winning streak. They move up two spots on the strength of that consistency.

14. Carmel | 4-3 | Up from 16

Carmel beat Ben Davis 28-24 in a game that required every possession. Sagarin rates the Greyhounds 6th overall in Indiana at 94.07 — the clearest evidence that their record reflects a brutal schedule rather than a diminished program.

15. Merrillville | 6-1 | Up from 17

Merrillville beat Valparaiso 34-21 last week and is 6-1 in competitive 6A territory. The Pirates hold a top-15 spot heading into the final two weeks.

16. Roncalli | 5-2 | Up from 24

The biggest climb of the week. Roncalli beat New Palestine 20-6 — a quality win over a program that entered ranked No. 11 in our Power 25. The Royals have won four straight and are playing their best football of the season heading into October. Sagarin rates them 13th overall in Indiana at 86.42.

17. Avon | 5-2 | Down from 12

Avon lost to Tri-West 35-6 last week — a result that drops the Orioles five spots. The early-season win over ranked Ben Davis remains on the résumé but two losses in the past three weeks have cooled the momentum.

18. Decatur Central | 6-1 | Unchanged

Decatur Central beat Bloomington North 51-0 — their third consecutive shutout. Sagarin rates them 18th overall in Indiana. The Hawks are peaking at exactly the right time.

19. New Palestine | 5-2 | Down from 11

The loss to Roncalli 20-6 drops New Palestine eight spots. The Dragons are 5-2 after the East Central loss ended their 29-game winning streak earlier this season. The postseason path remains open but the body of work heading into October has been uneven.

20. Floyd Central | 7-0 | Up from 19

Floyd Central beat Bedford North Lawrence 55-21 and is one of six remaining undefeated programs in the Power 25. Sagarin rates them 33rd overall. The Highlanders are building one of the more compelling postseason cases in southern Indiana.

21. Warsaw | 7-0 | Up from 20

Warsaw is 7-0 through seven weeks. The Tigers have been consistent all season and their undefeated record demands continued recognition heading into the final two weeks.

22. East Noble | 7-0 | Up from 21

East Noble beat Columbia City 42-21 — including a decisive fourth-quarter burst that settled the NE8. Sagarin rates them 12th overall in Indiana at 87.87. The state-title conversation in 4A now includes East Noble.

23. Andrean | 6-1 | Up from 22

Andrean beat Guerin Catholic 29-7 and continues to perform exactly as projected in their first year in Class 3A. Sagarin rates them 46th overall and 5th in 3A.

24. South Bend St. Joseph | 7-0 | Up from 25

St. Joseph beat South Bend Riley 28-6 to move to 7-0. The Huskies are one of the more quietly dominant programs in northern Indiana and hold a top-25 spot with two weeks left. Sagarin rates them 54th overall and 14th in 4A.

25 (tied). Evansville Memorial | 7-0 | New entry

Memorial survived Reitz 30-27 in the biggest test of their fall — the first time all season they had to win a close game. The Tigers are 7-0 with wins over Mater Dei 52-21, Harrison 52-20 and Bosse 35-0 in recent weeks. Sagarin rates them 17th overall in Indiana and No. 1 in Class 3A at 84.4.

25 (tied). Zionsville | 5-2 | Unchanged

Zionsville shares the final spot with Evansville Memorial. The Eagles are 5-2 with their only losses coming against Brownsburg and one other opponent. They remain in consideration heading into the final two weeks.

No teams dropped out. In Consideration: Danville (7-0), Lafayette Jeff (5-2)
