Indiana Preps | On The Line — IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals

Taylor Snively has already done things Indiana girls golf had never seen before.

As a freshman in 2024, she shot even-par 144 to win the individual state championship — becoming just the third freshman in IHSAA history to win the tournament and the first Lady Eagle to claim individual honors. As a sophomore in 2025, she came back and repeated, shooting 141 to become the first golfer in IHSAA history to win the state title in her first two years. Her 141 total stands as the fourth-best 36-hole score in state finals history.

Saturday gives her a chance to join an even smaller club.

Snively entered the final round of the IHSAA Girls Golf State Finals at Battle Ground Golf Club chasing a third consecutive individual state championship — something only a handful of girls in state history have accomplished. Martinsville’s Leigh Anne Hardin completed a three-peat in 2017, and the list of players who have done it before is extraordinarily short.

She isn’t the only Eagle chasing three.

Zionsville won back-to-back team state championships in 2024 and 2025 — and entered championship Saturday with an opportunity to complete their own program three-peat, which would also be the third title in school history alongside their 2017 championship. Coach Maggie Nobbe — who was a member of that 2017 team as a player — would become the only person in program history to win a state title both as a Zionsville golfer and as the Eagles’ head coach.

The individual and team storylines are inseparable heading into Saturday’s final round. Snively is the engine of what Zionsville does offensively on the course — her 141 in 2025 won by four shots and she has been the medalist in the majority of her tournament appearances across two championship seasons. The Eagles return a roster around her that includes players who have been part of every step of this run.

Two three-peats. One program. One round left.

Indiana Preps will have results and full coverage as the final round concludes Saturday.
