The biggest movement comes just behind them: Avon jumps five spots to No. 7, Bishop Chatard climbs from No. 16 to No. 11, East Central moves into the No. 12 spot and Bishop Dwenger rises six places to No. 15. Zionsville and Yorktown make their first appearances in the Top 25 at Nos. 23 and 24, while Lafayette Jeff and Lawrence Central drop out. With several traditional powers already carrying a loss and a growing group of unbeaten teams pushing upward, the separation between preseason reputation and early-season results is starting to show.
