Jeff won the shootout 46-29

A very strong start to the evening for the Bronchos, scoring 24 unanswered points in the 1st quarter. A quickstrike offense was on display early for the Bronchos, the spread offense was working wonders for about the 1st quarter and change. The game got chippy quickly with teams drawing numerous unsportsmanlike and unnecessary roughness penalties.

The wolves started to wake up with 7 to go in the 1st half, punching one in to head into half down 34-7. They kept the momentum going in the 3rd quarter, holding the Bronchos off the scoreboard for almost the entire quarter. The closest the game got was two scores at the end of the third. Jeff finally broke the drought with a 68-yard scamper to the crib from senior Tarvaris Fernandez.

Aaden Aytch – Sack – Golden Gopher Commit, two other sacks for the defense,
Other Commits on the team: Omar Williams – NIU, Kyros Carr – Butler

A INT with 2:40 to go from Senior Campbell-Walker sealed the deal for the Bronchos.

Speaking with the coach after the game, the message was clear: “That is not Jeff football, we will lose if we play like we did in the 2nd half tonight.”

The schedule doesn’t get easier for Jeff as Rival McCuctheon comes to visit next Friday.
