In a landmark day for Southern Indiana football, Heritage Hills High School teammates and 4-star prospects Jett Goldsberry and Tyler Ruxer made their college commitments—each selecting national Power Five programs and further cementing their standing as two of the premier players in the state’s 2026 class.
Goldsberry, a dynamic athlete with offers from over 20 Division I programs, announced his commitment to Ole Miss. Known for his electrifying play on both sides of the ball, the 6-foot-1 standout recently visited Oxford on an official visit. The trip made a lasting impression on Goldsberry, who praised the environment, coaching staff, and overall fit with the Rebels’ program.
“It felt like home,” Goldsberry told Indiana Preps. “The way Coach Kiffin and the staff plan to use me fits my game. I’m excited to compete in the SEC.”
Goldsberry is being recruited as a true athlete and is expected to line up at wide receiver or defensive back in college. He’s coming off a junior season where he racked up big-time plays on offense, defense, and special teams, helping lead Heritage Hills to a Class 3A State Championship.
Just moments before Goldsberry’s announcement, fellow 4-star recruit and close friend Tyler Ruxer declared his commitment to Oklahoma. At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Ruxer is one of the most sought-after tight ends in the country. Ranked as the No. 1 player in Indiana’s 2026 class and the No. 23 TE nationally by 247 Sports, his commitment gives the Sooners a major win on the recruiting trail.
“Oklahoma believed in me from the start,” said Ruxer. “Coach Venables and the staff made me a priority, and I trust their development and vision. I’m ready to be a Sooner.”
Ruxer, who is also an elite blocker and red-zone threat, chose Oklahoma over schools like Michigan, Duke, Purdue, and Louisville. He’s expected to take his official visit to Norman later this summer.
The duo’s commitment announcements not only mark a proud moment for the Heritage Hills football program but also serve as proof that high-level football talent continues to rise across all corners of Indiana.
Together, Goldsberry and Ruxer now turn their focus toward defending their state title in the upcoming 2025 season—but today, they made it clear that the future is bright well beyond the high school gridiron.
