Chesterton’s Andrew Goveia has been named the H3 Athletix Player of the Week after an outstanding performance in a hard-fought overtime battle against Valparaiso. Goveia carried the ball an incredible 41 times, racking up 251 yards and scoring two touchdowns in a narrow 22-21 loss. His dominant display on the ground earned him 71% of the fan vote, solidifying his place as this week’s top player.
Close behind in the voting was Bishop Noll’s running back Antonio Benson, who garnered 16.8% of the votes. Benson’s explosive 10 carries for 207 yards and five touchdowns also earned him well-deserved recognition. Despite the tough loss, Goveia’s resilience and determination on the field made him stand out as this week’s top performer.
