With five months to go until the start of the 2024 high school football season, a handful of players have seen a huge increase in interest during the off-season.

Hammond Morton’s Holland Harris and Lebron Hill, Ben Davis’ Isaiah White, and JonAnthony Hall, of Fishers, have all had a busy off-season as they prepare for August.

Harris busy getting bigger, faster, stronger

Holland Harris, a Class of 2025 quarterback, has spent a portion of his off-season working on himself.

“I have been focusing on gaining weight, getting faster, becoming more explosive and, overall, being better as a team. The off-season is going pretty well,” Harris told Indiana Preps.

A season ago, as a junior, Harris accounted for 1,860 total yards and 20 touchdowns to go with a QBR of 94.3 for the Governors. He has recently been offered to an Elite 11 regional to compete for a spot in the Elite 11 finals.

When it comes to recruiting, Harris holds offers from Western Kentucky and Bowling Green and admits it has been great to see his work pay off.

“As for recruiting, lots of interest has been progressing quickly. Honestly, it feels great. I have been working hard to get where I wanted to be from a young age. I feel Morton has just increased and sharpened that work ethic,” said Harris, who has visits slated to Bowling Green and Kent State in March.

As for what he is looking for in a school, Harris said there are a few things.

“I am looking for a stable place to continue to progress and continuously get better. A place that can help me get my education for the next four years and set up my future after football,” Harris said.

Morton’s Hill prepping for big season

While Morton has Holland Harris under center, it also has a talent in three-star wide receiver Lebron Hill.

A season ago, Hill had 1,209 all purpose yards and 10 total touchdowns as a junior. The 6-foot-5-inch prospect has been busy recently preparing for a big senior season.

“It’s going great. I am taking things day by day and preparing myself for a great season next year,” Hill said.

With offers from the likes of Central Michigan, Toledo, Ball State, Bowling Green, Illinois State, Vanderbilt and Miami (OH), Hill has seen his recruiting explode as of late. He also has a visit to Louisville planned.

“It feels good knowing all the time my parents and coaches have invested in me is making a positive change in my life,” Hill acknowledged.

Hill admits he wants to play for a school that has a great coaching staff and can develop him. But, before then, he is looking for a monster season with the Governors.

“My goals coming in to this next season are to win a sectional title. Of course, I want to win state, but you have to take things step by step,” Hill said.

White aims for repeat, offers

As a defensive linemen last year, Isaiah White wrecked havoc on opposing offenses, as he helped Ben Davis capture the Class 6A state championship.

The 6-foot-3-inch, 270 pound “Cyborg” has seen his recruitment absolutely explode, as he has recently hauled in offers from Louisville and Washington to go along with offers from Miami (OH), Western Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Kent State, Ball State, Akron, West Virginia and Boston College.

“It feels great, obviously, but I know I have to keep working because there’s still room for me to get better,” White said.

He plans on visiting Michigan State, Boston College and West Virginia in the near future and has spent the off-season working towards another trip to Lucas Oil Stadium and a state final.

“The goal is to repeat. There is no pressure. We have a really strong core returning who is hungry and ready to work,” White said.

Hall looks to lead Fishers to greatness
Fresh off a junior season that saw him reel in 69 receptions for 1,055 yards and six touchdowns and account for 1,496 all purpose yards, Fishers wide receiver JonAnthony Hall has seen his recruitment blow up lately.

He attended Purdue’s Junior Day during the off-season and walked away with an offer from the Boilermakers to join offers from Michigan State, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana and Kent State.

“It felt great to be offered. I feel like my relationship with the staff was already strong before, but now it is only growing. The visit was awesome, they treated us great, and we watched the basketball game as well,” Hall said of the Purdue experience.

With his recruitment blowing up recently, Hall said it only makes him want to work harder to ensure a smooth transition to the college game.

“My motivation coming into this season is only growing,” said Hall, who admits he is “antsy” for the season.
