When did you start playing football? How did your interest start?
I started playing football in fifth grade for the Green Titans which was a team with in the Charger youth league. My interest in football began when I was a kindergardener and had the ability to watch my dad coach Division III football for Trine University. Watching those players work gave me the drive to excel in football at whatever position I was placed.
What motivates you to play the game every day?
Everyday at school I can’t wait to strap on those pads and hit someone at practice. As I have grown up I have been raised around football and hearing stories about my past family members playing high school and college athletics. Hearing these stories just drives me to give myself the opportunity to match or excel these memorable moments.
What part of football do you find to be the hardest?
The hardest part of football and I think any sport; is not winning every rep. The two things I hate in this world are people who lie and losing.
What part of football do you enjoy the most?
My favorite part of playing football is playing Friday night lights and getting a well deserved win with my teammates showing that all of our hard work has paid off.
How have you been preparing over the offseason to make your team better?
During the off season I have been playing travel baseball while also doing workouts with the school to stay in shape and build muscle. I have been playing and practicing with the basketball team to build agility and lateral movement. Adding onto that I have been practicing with the football team to work on my game and go against one of the best defensive lineman in the area, Ashton Pesetski.
What are you looking for most in a college program?
When looking for a college to attend and play at the next level I’m looking for a place where I can live and feel at home. Adding on to this I would like to attend a college that will set me up for life if my athletic career comes to an end.
