OH SNAP INDY Game of the Week
The second week of Indiana high school football gives fans a set of matchups that feature the state’s top programs. For the second straight week, Cathedral sits at number one in the Indiana Preps Power 25 rankings. Brownsburg moved up a spot to number two after an impressive win on the road over the Ben Davis Giants. The Irish of Cathedral had little trouble in their season opener in their lopsided 43-12 win over Lafayette Jeff. The Brownsburg Bulldogs were tested by a Ben Davis Giants’ comeback, but held on to win 21-16. This matchup is setting up for what will give fans a clearer picture on these two 6A powers chances in the postseason.
Danny O’Neil led the Irish to a week one victory by being efficient with the football, throwing for 4 touchdowns. Western Michigan recruit Brennan Wooten was the main target, as he hauled in three of those scores.

Brownsburg led 21-9 at halftime at Ben Davis last week, before the Giants mounted a failed comeback. In the first half, the Bulldogs were dominant on defense and the offense showed flashes of how deadly they can be. Western Illinois commit, quarterback Jayden Whitaker rushed for 2 touchdowns early and hooked up with promising junior receiver Corey Smith for a third score in the first half. It was the defense that stepped up big, when the Bulldogs offense failed to score in the second half.
