Semi-state matchups are underway this Friday. 24 teams, 12 matchups, and 12 moving on to play in Lucas Oil Stadium for a chance to win a state championship. Up in northern Indiana, Adams Central (12-1) travels to North Judson-San Pierre (10-3). Both of the class A schools have dominated most of their competition this season. Now they might be facing each other’s hardest competition yet

North Judson have blown out every team they have faced off against during the playoffs outscoring opposing teams 115-25 in the past three weeks. This includes taking down teams like Winamac who were undefeated at the time. The offense is headlined by Junior running back Cheyenne Allen who has rushed for 977-yards and 14 touchdowns along with 491-yards through the air and 9 touchdowns.

Adams Central has had just as hard of a journey during the playoffs after knocking off the #3 ranked team in 1A, Churubusco. Following that, they added to their impressive resumé shutting out the #8 ranked 1A team, South Adams 41-0. Adams Central is headlined by quarterback Ryan Black who has accounted for 26 touchdowns this season and led his team to a 12-1 record in 2021.

North-Judson has been led by junior quarterback, Aldric Harper who has thrown for just under 1,000 yards this season with 15 touchdowns. The Bluejays have a stellar tandem of running backs that use in just about 80% of their offensive snaps. Cheyenne Allen leads the team with 142 carries for 977 yards and 14 touchdowns. Allen also leads the team in receptions (20), receiving yards (491), and receiving touchdowns (9).

On the other end, Adam’s Central offense averages 47.5 points per game. North-Judson will certainly have a handful with gunslinger Ryan Black. These two high-powered offenses will be making a great game up in northern Indiana this weekend.
