The key game to watch in Northeast Indiana is Leo at East Noble as this looks to be one of the best first round games in Northeast Indiana.

As you might know, EN and Leo have met in consecutive postseasons where East Noble won sectional championships in 2019 and 2020. Coming off another NE8 championship season, Leo looks to knock off their arch rivals in sectional play.

In the regular season, Leo defeated East Noble 40-32 in Kendallville. Leo’s success came off a dominant 1st half, a strong running game, and committing fewer turnovers than East Noble.

For the Knights to avenge their regular season loss, they have to string together a more complete effort on both sides of the ball and stay disciplined. We know the Knights are capable of putting some points on the board thanks to a excellent O Line led by Chris Hood, Rowan Zolman and Nick Munson at wide receiver, and a good core of running backs led by Kainon Carico to compliment quarterback Zander Brazel.

For the Leo Lions to finally end East Noble’s season, that Offensive line has to be excellent, they have to execute their play calling perfectly, and no turnovers. Defensively, they should be able to contain their offensive firepower. But the wild card truly comes down to offensive execution.
