On Friday, we have the game that decides the SAC crown: Fort Wayne Bishop Luers and the Snider Panthers. These are two football programs with a rich amount of history on and off conference play. These are two of the winningest football schools in IHSAA history, especially when looking into Luers’ 11 state championships.
The last time the Knights lost a regular season football game, it was a 35-13 loss at Spuller Stadium to these same Panthers. The last time Snider lost to Luers, the Knights eventually won their third of four straight state championships. Snider holds a 31-4 lifetime record against Bishop Luers.
For Luers, they’re coming off a game where Clark set a new SAC record for career passing yards in a 50-0 win over South Side. Snider is looking to build off their convincingly strong 33-22 win over rival Bishop Dwenger.
