On a night of many standout performances, eleven players landed on the week 6 Player of the Week voting board. Clutch plays and big stats earned these players recognition. The Fan’s Choice for the Indiana Minority Coaches Association Player of the Week is Andrean high school senior kicker Nicolas Tovar. At 32.8% of the votes, it was Tovar’s walk off field goal of 44-yards as time expired securing a 31-28 win over Hobart that gave him the nod. The senior kicker has been automatic for the Andrean 59’rs this season. He’s been perfect on point-after-attempts and field goals through six games. A preseason All State Top 22 Small School selection is making a strong case for postseason accolades and the Special Teams Player of the Year award.
