Winning three consecutive Class 2A titles, the Western Boone Stars bump a class due to the IHSAA success factor, leaving the 2A field open for a new champion. Programs familiar with winning state titles will be in contention this Fall.
Andrean is a two-time state champion (both in Class 3A) and Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is also accustom to being the last team standing with their eleven titles, are two of the favorites heading into the season. Pioneer has adjusted quite nicely playing up a class since their pair of Class A state titles. The Panthers will be a contender along with Evansville Mater Dei and perennial power Eastbrook. Do not be shocked if Heritage Christian ends up makeing the short trip to Lucas Oil.
