HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL, IN PREPS

Small School Players; Big Time Stats

It was a pair of Class A quarterbacks that blew up the stat lines from Friday’s regional contests in Indiana. Starting with Lafayette Central Catholic junior quarterback Clark Barrett and his 494-yards passing and 4 touchdowns in the regional win. The Central Catholic Knights needed a big night from Barrett and he delivered in the 37-32 win over Winamac.

It was one of the state’s best football players, regardless of class, that put on a show in the South Adams regional win over Southwood. Senior quarterback James Arnold accounted for 6 total touchdowns in the Starfires’ 48-35 win. Arnold threw for 435 yards and rushed for another 53 yards to advance the Starfires to Class A semifinal round.
