Brownsburg high took to the national stage on ESPN’s networks in the Indiana vs Ohio showdown, taking on perennial power St. Xavier high school out of Cincinnati. In a game featuring FBS Power-Five recruits, it was Brownsburg’s senior wideout Luke Lacey who stole the show. Lacey led the no.3 ranked Bulldogs to victory with his 9 catches, 145 yards and 2 touchdown stellar performance. Bulldogs avenged their 2019 loss to the Bombers, rallying to win 30-24.

Pike high has tied their win total from the previous two seasons with their hot start with impressive wins over Zionsvile and Fishers, respectively. The Red Devils are paced by running back Isaiah Martin who rushed for 246 yards and added a couple touchdowns in their win over Fisher’s on Friday. Pike is 2-0 for the first time since 2014.

Class 2A Pioneer Panthers did not shy away at the opportunity to play Class 6A Chesterton a school has thousands of more kids walking their hallways. The Panthers shocked the Trojans 20-16.

Class 5A is going to be very competitive. Leading the way is the Cathedral Fighting Irish, fresh off a very impressive win over reigning Class 6A champion Carmel. The Irish went to Carmel and handed the Greyhounds a 44-28 loss. Valparaiso, Bishop Dwenger, New Palestine and Whiteland all impressive in the early going. New Albany and Floyd Central both with 2-0 starts.
