Game of the Week
#22 Carroll (Fort Wayne) at #12 Snider (Fort Wayne)
Two of the Summit Athletic Conference programs will square off at Spuller Stadium on Friday. The two teams split in last season’s games. Carroll got the best of Snider in week two last season, holding the Panthers to just 14-points. However, Snider got another crack at Carroll and rolled up 49-points, ending the Chargers’ season in the 2018 sectionals.
Carroll opened the season with 42 to zilch over Bishop Luers, led by sophomore quarterback Jeffery Becker and his 224-yards passing. The Charger defense was sensational. Not to be outdone, the Snider Panthers put up a whopping 51-points in their opener, holding North Side scoreless. The panther quarterback is no slouch either. Jon Barnes Jr., a preseason all-state selection is living up the expectations so far with his impressive performance last week. This game has been circled on the calendar for both squads.
