Carmel Head Coach John Hebert told Indiana Preps several weeks ago, that he believed his junior offensive lineman Mark Stickford’s recruitment would blow up during the Spring evaluation period, when college coaches make their visits. He added, that in December college coaches were concerned if Stickford was able to add weight to his 220 pound frame. “He went from 220 to 250 in 3 months with no fat. He looks so good and so explosive” said Hebert. This Spring college coaches have definitely been impressed with Stickfords progressions.
“It’s about to explode” Hebert referring to Strickfords recruitment. “I think he’ll get ten offers in the next two weeks based on all the people coming in and their reactions to his progress” said Hebert a few weeks ago. Since that statement, Stickford has added 7 scholarship offers. Head Coach John Hebert believes he could add more by weeks end. Power 5 schools like Indiana, Cincinnati, Purdue, Boston College, Penn State, Iowa and Kentucky are showing more interest and an offer from a few are likely to happen soon.
Stickford currently holds offers from Miami OH, Bowling Green, Yale, Harvard, Princeton, UCF, Central Michigan, Toledo, Ball State, New Mexico, and Ohio.
