Indiana Preps Player of the Year Awards

Special Teams P/K of the Year: Van Krisiloff, Cathedral
Krisiloff brought rare consistency and field-position value to Cathedral’s special teams unit throughout his career. As a placekicker, he proved dependable from distance while remaining automatic on extra points, a combination that quietly stabilized close games. His value extended well beyond field goals—Krisiloff’s ability to flip the field as a punter and generate touchbacks on kickoffs consistently forced opponents to start deep, tilting momentum before drives even began. In a phase of the game often overlooked, Krisiloff operated as a true weapon.
Offensive Player of the Year: Jett Goldsberry, Heritage Hills
Goldsberry leaves Heritage Hills as one of the most productive and versatile players in program history. A true dual-threat, he consistently stressed defenses through both the air and on the ground while guiding the Patriots through multiple deep postseason runs. His command of the offense allowed Heritage Hills to evolve year over year, and his physicality translated defensively as well. Goldsberry’s legacy isn’t defined by one season, but by sustained excellence and winning across multiple classifications.
Defensive Player of the Year: Jerimy Finch, Warren Central
Finch emerged as the tone-setter for a Warren Central defense that returned to regional championship form. His presence showed up everywhere—sideline to sideline, in the backfield, and on special teams. Finch combined elite instincts with physicality, consistently disrupting opposing game plans through tackles for loss and pressure. His impact wasn’t limited to defense; he found ways to influence games in all three phases, embodying the kind of all-around production that defines high-level linebackers.
Player of the Year: Myles McLaughlin, Knox
Knox’s senior season rewrote what volume production looks like at the high school level. Operating at quarterback but functioning as the engine of Knox’s offense, he carried an unprecedented workload while maintaining efficiency across an entire season. His ability to control games on the ground powered a deep postseason run and elevated Knox into statewide relevance. What separated him further was his defensive contribution—impacting games on both sides of the ball with tackling and ball skills rarely seen from offensive focal points.
