Opening week of the Indiana high school football season had several big time performances by players across the state. Record breaking stats and clutch performances led us to six nominees for the Indiana Minority Coaches Association Player of the Week award. This season, we will allow fans to vote for honoree.
This week’s Fan’s Choice was Noblesville sophomore running back Logan Shoffner who broke the school’s single game rushing record that stood since 1990 with his 347-yards rushing. He added 4-touchdowns on 17 carries on the night, in leading the Millers to a 57-36 win. With 5,019 votes, Shoffner received 70.5% of the votes. Gibson Southern senior quarterback Brady Allen came in second with 17.7% of the votes.
